Metabolic Formula Update

Karen Dolins, Secretary of the Board Of Directors and Lead Researcher for the MSUD Family Support Group has been participating in stakeholder meetings with the FDA and with Abbott.

The formula shortage continues to ease. Abbott has announced that shipments of Ketonex I have resumed. However, there is a further postponement of Ketonex II shipments until April. After the resumption of production, products should be available through normal channels 4-6 weeks later. Supplies of previously manufactured Ketonex II remain available through their Emergency Release Program. Contact your dietitian to place an order.
